Sol 30" Parasol

This parasol is 30" in diameter featuring our local star, Sol, in every possible portion. The colors begin with yellow at the center and fade gradually through orange to red at the edge. I attempted to personify the Sun as much as I possibly could while providing you with high-coverage shade because who doesn't like a little irony?

I've based this parasol on a charted pattern I found without makers' marks and added many rounds and flame shapes to create the right shape and size for this parasol. I have a hard time saying this is my own pattern, but it is significantly changed from the example I started with. 

This yarn is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. This certification means the yarn has been tested for harmful substances that may occur in harvesting, processing, or dyeing the yarn. Cotton is a remarkably dirty crop to work with and while OEKO-TEX isn't perfect, it is better.

This parasol has 8 arms and a manual opener. You'll find an aluminum main shaft with a curved red plastic handle and red fittings for the top and arm tips. Please take care to ensure the arm tips aren't caught in the mandala before using the automatic opener.

While it won't keep the rain off your head, this parasol will diminish the sun's rays and help bring whimsy to your life.
